I bought these about 25 years ago when I would hike the coastal mountains in the Bay Area. They were great to use. The power is adjustable from 12 power to 60 power, although the best setting for clarity and steadiness for long distance is about 30-35 power. Beyond that, you need to steady your hands against an immovable object. These have the power adjustment, easy to focus and the one eye adjustment. I would guess a comparable pair would be over $250+ now if you could even find such a pair, so this price is very reasonable and good for a boat, whale watching, etc.

I have the carrying case, but have only 2 rubber lens protectors but no leather strap, which you can buy the latter.
