The control board on this 10 year old unit failed last fall. We decided to buy a new one instead of getting it repaired. Island Ductless (great company) gave us an estimate for $1955(see attached pic), which included replacing the fan motor as these are often done in tandem. I’ve since learned these aren’t hard to fix if you’re a handy do it yourselfer, and with hindsight wish we had done so because we could have saved about $3k. It worked very well except on the coldest (<10F) winter days. It’s been gathering dust in my shop and needs to go. For about $800 and some elbow grease you could have a highly efficient, top quality (Daikin are the best) unit capable of heating 1000sf. Asking $200 but make me a reasonable offer and it’s yours.
