With recovery services between Mount Vernon and Tacoma, it is the largest provider of addiction treatment in Northwest Washington with a focus on customer service and high quality treatment.
We are seeking qualified, compassionate, caring, non-judgmental Co-Occurring Disorder Counselor/Trainee with a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference to join our Mount Vernon Men's Residential team.
Co-Occurring Disorder Counselor/Trainee provide comprehensive integrated chemical dependency and mental health treatment services for persons with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders. This position will complete behavioral health assessments, conduct educational classes and treatment groups, and provide individual, family and group counseling to adults and families experiencing mental health and/or chemical dependency problems, and provides services to incarcerated populations through the court/detention system. Has the ability to integrate mental health therapy into a primary chemical dependency treatment plan for persons with co-occurring mild and moderate mental disorders. Must maintain professional boundaries and set a positive example of behaviors for patients.
• Master's degree in counseling psychology, social work, addiction counseling or comparable discipline.
• Current certification as a Washington State Chemical Dependency Professional or Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee.
• Current Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor orLicensed Mental Health Counselor Associate.
• Minimum one year co-occurring counseling experience.
