Summary:
The Line Cook prepares, seasons, and cooks food for multiple dining venues while maintaining high sanitation, safety, and quality standards. This position ensures proper food preparation, labeling, and inventory rotation while minimizing waste and following established recipes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook food quickly while maintaining presentation standards
• Label and rotate inventory properly
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized work area
• Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and supervisors
• Practice safe food handling and meet Health Department guidelines
• Perform prep work, use basic knife skills, and measure/mix ingredients
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
• Must be 18+ and obtain the required Health Card, TIPS Card, and pass a background check to obtain a Class IV Gaming Commission permit
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and math skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in a hot, loud, and fast-paced kitchen environment with potential exposure to sharp utensils, hot surfaces, and wet floors.
