Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning fresh produce, meats, and other items according to recipes and standards
-Assembling high quality ingredients according to high quality standards and set recipes
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols
-Handle food products safely during storage, thawing, and transportation within the kitchen area
-Participate in menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
-Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards
Qualifications:
-Familiarity with food preparation techniques, including knife skills and meal assembly
-Experience working in food service environments such as restaurants or catering operations is highly valued
-Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
