Selling my 2003 Honda Element EX. It is a rare 5 speed manual, with Honda's reliable AWD system. I purchased it 2024 with the intent to fix some issues and use it as my daily driver. I have fixed almost everything it needed, but then I unexpectedly inherited a different vehicle and now I don't need to two small SUV's; so I am selling the Element. It is powered by Honda's legendary K24 engine. These things are amazing for hauling cargo, or converting into small campers. The seats fold up and out of the way, or are easy to remove all together. Being a 22 year old car it does have a few cosmetic blemishes, but nothings serious. I've only put about 15k miles on it since I purchased it.
The following is the list of maintenance I've performed while I've had it.
-New Battery
-New Alternator
-New Water Pump and Thermostat
-New Head Gaskets, Timing Chain, Chain Tensioner, and Radiator (Done at Rising Sun Motors in Bellingham)
-New Serpentine Belt
-Driver side wheel bearing and ball joint
-Oil Change every 5k miles
-Rear sway bar replaced by previous owner just prior to me purchasing it.
The Bad:
-About 3k miles ago the check engine light started coming on and off at random and the code its throwing is for the Catalytic Converter going bad. I replaced one of the O2 sensors hoping the code was just from a bad sensor, but no luck. So if your trying to register the car somewhere that requires smog checks, then you will have to address that. Since we don't have smog checks in Skagit County, I decided to just let it ride.
-The Airbag light came on randomly a few months back, not sure why as the vehicle has never had the airbags deployed.
-There is some rust on the undercarriage and few minor spots on the body. I assume the vehicle came from somewhere were they salt the roads in the winter before ending up here.
All in all it has been a great car. Asking $8,000 OBO
