We had a working internet networking system setup until we got faster internet speeds and now it appears the equipment we have is not handling it well. I made some setup changes to one of the WIFI routers, that appears to have helped, perhaps if I did the same to the others we have it would fix the issue but I never get to that task. We own multiple businesses, working on a low budget which translates to us working too hard doing too many things, which is why I never get to it.
Here is what we have:
- Xfinity 1000mbs
- TP-Link ER605 Router
- TP-Link N300 WIFI Routers
SO the ER605 takes it from the modem to the to different units, each of which has the N300 WIFI Routers. Ethernet wiring is in place to the three units.
The fix may just be correct configuration of the components so that IP address assignments are being done in only one place, or it may be that the N300s just cannot keep up with the speed we have. They all worked fine until recent speed increases happened a few years ago.
GOAL: We should have WIFI in each of our 3 units and the ability to plug ethernet cables into the router to get better connectivity and speed. 300mbs in each unit is adequate, but if we change equipment I'll be happy to have higher speed.
Please email me with your rate and some reason you believe you are capable of solving this issue in a timely manor and without the solution being too complex. I want this to be as simple as it can possibly be while achieving our goal.
