This 2007 Prokat catamaran is probably the best fishing boat available for Puget Sound. Extremely seaworthy, and Ocean proven in the worst conditions, this is the ideal downrigger fishing platform. She is rock stable, Wood free in Construction, and bulletproof. Recent survey, and new aluminum trailer built in Florida specifically for this boat. Earlier models of Prokat, 2000 through 2003, had some design problems, but those are not present in the 2007. If you are looking for a fishing or all purpose catamaran, and then you need to see this Boat. A similar boat new today would be over 200,000, and I think you will agree that there would really be no advantage, other than newer engines. My three children are away from home, and the last three times I have taken the boat out Fishing, (this season) It has been just (62 y.o.) me. One person can easily launch and retrieve this boat, and it is really, with her ideal Trailer, no more difficult than launching my 18 foot skiff, I have, however, taken the skiff out more so far this season, since it is a better match for a single fisherman. This would be the ideal family boat, since there is a spacious cabin, a real Marine head, in a private location, ideal for female passengers, and no vessel could be more stable or safer on a rough day.
